this is from a film adaptation of a book (Adventures of Buratino) by a guy named Aleksey Tolstoy who read Pinocchio when he was a kid, forgot most of it, and decided to just rewrite it from his vague memory, and it’s now one of the most iconic pieces of Russian childrens’ literature of all time
